Bird watching in Kalametiya Bird Sanctuary

Kalametiya is a small village and located 20 km away from Tangalle. Kalametiya bird sanctuary is the best place to observe Bird life. You can enjoy also paddle boat ride and climb rock middle of the sanctuary, where you can see nice view.

Turtle Watching in Rekawa Beach

There are only few beaches, where you can watch and observe marine turtles in their natural habitat. Five out of seven of the marine turtle species are found in Sri Lanka. Most of Turtles come ashore in Rekawa beach to lay eggs. This tours begin at 8:30 pm and can go on till around 11:30 pm.

Blowhole

Blowhole is located in Kudawella 12 km from Tangalle. The Blowhole is a result of seawater coming in through submerged cavern and pushed upwards where water will come up due to the pressure created from the surface of the sea.

Galle Dutch Fort

Galle Fort is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and it was originally built by the Portuguese in the 16th century. After Portuguese Fort was further developed by the Dutch and British. Galle Fort is a complex of attractions including several museums, antique shops, lighthouse, Clock tower, Dutch Hospital, jewellery workshops, Churches.

Ella

Ella is a mountain town in the Central Highland of Sri Lanka, about 1000 meters above sea level. Most of Tourist reach to Ella for hiking Little Adam’s Peak and Ella Rock. Both hiking destinations will give you beautiful sprawling views of the Sri Lankan country side.

Elephant Transit Home Udawalawe

Elephant Transit home was established in 1995 by the Sri Lanka Department of Wildlife Conservation. This is the house for orphaned elephants. You will see many baby Elephants during the feeding time. After rehabilitation, the elephants are released back into the wild, many into the UdaWalawe National Park.

Hadungoda Tea factory

The estate is known as the Virgin White Tea Factory – it produces a white tea completely untouched by human hands. You’ll sample and learn how they produce many varieties of tea here, including the fabled Virgin White tea. The visit ends with a tasting session and a piece of chocolate cake!

Turtle Hatchery

You can visit either Koggala or Habaraduwa turtle hatchery and observe five species of marine sea turtles out of seven in the world. If it is an egg season, you can have a chance to release a baby turtle to the Ocean. This projects care about sick and handicapped Turtles. And also they protect Turtles Eggs keeping very safe till baby turtles come to out side.
