Kalametiya Bird Sanctuary is a one of oldest bird Sanctuary and best place to explore birds and feel the nature. This area consists of mostly with lagoons, marshy lands and mangrovesover 150 species of birds have been recorded in this sanctuary. You will see sure more than 50 species of birds during the Tour. Here bird enthusiasts can spot birds such as the Grey Herons, Brahminy Kite and Purple Swamphens along with endangered species like the Reef Heron, Glossy Ibis, and the Black-capped Purple Kingfisher. This is a eco bird watching tour. Therefore we use only paddle boat. Cruising through the waters of lagoon in a boat is a wonderful way to spot and observe the many elusive birds at the small islets. After bird watching tour you can climb the rock which is in the sanctuary and you will see nice view there.
We have designed this eco bird watching tour from 2 to 3 hours. During the tour we will provide binoculars, water bottles and fruits.
